Mas Bellevue

Located on the hills above the beautiful village of Saint-Paul-de-Vence with a breathtaking 180 degree view from the Cap Ferrat to the Cap d’Antibes.

The main objective of the project was to restore and redesign the entire property to strike a fine balance between the Provençal style and modern comforts in order to achieve an authentic and elegant atmosphere. The colour palette was intentionally understated in order to create a respect of the nature of the materials used.

The garden needed a new ambiance - new spaces. Places you would want stay and spend time such as a rose and jasmine covered wrought iron Gloriette and an equally beautiful wrought iron tonnelle creating shade for the pétanque grounds. With the help of typical southern materials, such as old wooden beams, wrought iron and local stones, we created a typical Provençal garden, with an association between pastel colours, aromas of wild herbs and the texture of ancient trees you would associate with a holiday in the deep Provence.

Keeping a balance between old and modern was in mind throughout the project and was achieved through multiple methods. Beautifully textured stone floors, old iron bistrot furniture, classic painted wooden shutters, classical french lanterns and old painted garden urns are just a few examples of the ways we were able to give the property authenticity and charm.
